Real Madrid wins thanks to its international players and worldwide project, but on the pitch, Carvajal, Nacho, and Lucas Vázquez give it the Spanish flair.

MADRID: Being Spanish at Real Madrid is turning into a test of endurance, which Nacho, Dani Carvajal, and Lucas Vázquez ably embody. With the league standings, trophies, and international acquisitions, the number of Spaniards in the starting lineup is steadily declining.

Furthermore, it is not new because that profile has been the focus of the last ten years' drift. Real Madrid's approach is moving toward physically extremely European incorporations with a mix of Brazilian quality that is working for Florentino Pérez, while other teams rely on a bigger percentage of junior players.

But Real Madrid has always been a Spanish-based team historically. Actually, the group that has divided the most members from the Spanish squad has always been that group. The atomization of the national team has advanced thanks to the efforts of teams like Barcelona and Athletic Club, which have modified this in recent years.

At the moment, the first team consists of Brahim Díaz, a Spanish player who elected to play for Morocco, Fran García, Dani Ceballos, Nacho, Carvajal, Lucas Vázquez, Joselu, and Kepa Arrizabalaga (who is on loan). They are not few in quantity, but they are in minutes. Dani Carvajal, the right back, is actually the lone starter on that shortlist. The remaining players are part of the rotation. Or perhaps not even that, as Carlo Ancelotti does not value Fran García or Dani Ceballos.

With Brahim being the only attacking player who contributes consistently and Joselu starting mostly because of the team's demands, the defense is the team's best representation of Spanish resistance.

Despite the years and the signings, Carvajal, Nacho, and Lucas Vázquez attest to a triplet that still exists. Nobody can remove Carvajal from the captaincy or the side. Although there have been multiple attempts to "kick out" Nacho, who might change his scene at the end of the year, has remained the number twelve player. And just when the Madrid supporter least expects it, Lucas Vázquez makes an appearance.

Ancelotti likes all three of them, and they all continue to play important roles in the locker room. Additionally, they are aware of the friendship that binds them at the club and think they have what it takes to instill in the new players the required character to preserve the Madridista DNA.

Because of this, a source from the locker room tells ESPN that while the team's present and future are secure, there is worry that the Spanish are devaluing the white tradition.

That is still to be determined. According to a another theory, the players' birthplace is irrelevant because Madrid DNA is universal. It is evident that Real Madrid keeps going forward and that the team is still a winning one. The meringues are poised to win La Liga and go to the semifinals of the Champions League after defeating Manchester City, despite an extremely complex year.

According to a recent source contacted by ESPN, Madrid has evolved into a worldwide team with the singular goal of "letting the shield be everyone's shield," and they aim to reach every part of the globe.

Up until now, Carvajal, Nacho, and Lucas have been the mainstays of the resistance. In the upcoming year, we'll see what transpires with Joselu. He has an opportunity to stay because the club is pleased with his performance this year. Fran García wants to stay, but Ceballos has one foot out and the other half out. In addition, Nacho has told the team that, as his contract expires on June 30, he is free to make an announcement about his departure. Lucas Vázquez is in a similar circumstance, but he has the option to stay.

The Spanish players of Real Madrid are becoming fewer and less significant. As long as Florentino Pérez's plan produces results, the board doesn't seem to care. Now, don't whine, as was the case prior to Qatar 2022, that the Spanish selectors aren't calling up Real Madrid players; if the club doesn't wager on the Spanish product, then nobody else will.
